If price of change would be 5-10 materials needed for that weight class depending on what piece you are changing (elonian leather, deldrimor steel, damask) + 50 ectos + insignia + more expensive version of that you buy with spirit shards (costing maybe 100 or so) then it might be possible. Sigils/Runes/Etc cannot be removed without either a cost. Needs transmutation charges to change the appearance. Legendary can swap stats. TLDR: Farm Living World Season 3 currencies and do Strike Missions and Fractals to purchase ascended gear if you like PvE. Just get some ascended trinkets/accessories farming winterberries and other Living World Season 3 currencies. Infuse these with Agony Resistance and run fractals. You may even get more ascended gear. Go for trinkets first and for weapon. Ascended armor doesn't give so much stat but there is an infusion slot. Ascended weapon over exotic is a 10% increased dps and it's for me the most important. The perfect order would be weapons > trinkets > armor. Don't forget that if you know how to play it's 90% of the job. .
